Cal Poly is seeking an Off-Campus Housing & Housing Security Coordinator to coordinate programs and services for students living off campus and facing housing insecurity. The role partners with campus departments and local housing stakeholders to promote housing stability and student success.

The position supports individualized student needs through case management, resource coordination, and financial literacy education, with a focus on safe, affordable housing options.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field, including or supplemented by upper division or graduate coursework in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution where such are job-related.
• Three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience. One year in the program area to which assigned may be preferred but is not required.
• A master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Higher Education, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
• A doctorate degree and the appropriate internship or clinical training in counseling or guidance may be substituted for the three years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, and operate programs and services for off-campus housing and housing security.
• Collaborate with campus departments, local property managers, landlords, community organizations, and city partners.
• Provide individualized support, resource coordination, and referrals to campus and community services.
• Manage educational programming, case management, outreach, and community partnerships.
