Job Description: OEM Sales Manager – HVAC Industry

Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission | Remote with National Travel

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented OEM Sales Manager to lead sales efforts and grow our brand presence within the HVAC industry. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by working closely with the sales team to promote and push OEM parts through distributor networks, while also strengthening relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers.

As an OEM Sales Manager, you will represent our company with professionalism and integrity, deliver value-driven solutions to our partners, and build long-lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and brings both strategic vision and hands-on execution to the role.

In addition to sales leadership, this role will involve a project management mindset—supporting the identification and optimization of product mix within distribution centers (DCs), and collaborating with the National Sales Manager to provide OEM partners with a comprehensive view of their field performance and corporate experience. You will also work closely with corporate leadership to identify and develop growth opportunities through strategic programs, product applications, and new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support identification and optimization of product mix within distribution centers (DCs), applying a project management mindset to align field needs with inventory strategy.
  • Partner with the National Sales Manager to provide OEMs with a complete view of their performance across field and corporate channels, helping to align service delivery and sales support.
  • Work closely with corporate leadership to uncover and drive strategic growth opportunities through new programs, innovative product applications, and forward-thinking product development efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and aftermarket parts teams to introduce new products—whether evolved from the existing product line or initiated through ideation. Guide the process through design, engineering, testing, approval, stocking in distribution centers, and education of field and sales teams.
  • Develop, strengthen, and manage relationships with HVAC OEMs.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits, product presentations, and strategic meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals through a consultative, solution-based selling approach.
  • Create and implement OEM-specific sales strategies aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Track activities and manage pipelines using CRM software; ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Product Management, Operations) to support growth initiatives.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry developments to inform strategic positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Provide prompt, high-quality service and issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close sales and establish long-term partnerships.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications — or a minimum of 10 years of successful B2B sales experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Proven ability to sell within the OEM or distributor channel, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, market dynamics, and customer decision-making processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with executive-level contacts.
  • Self-starter with exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to leverage sales data and market insights to adjust strategies.
  • Active in professional networks and industry associations; skilled in relationship-building and lead generation.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating changing priorities and travel schedules.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively within the territory.

Work Environment:

This is a fully remote position with extensive national travel required. The OEM Sales Manager will work independently from a home office while frequently traveling to meet with customers and attend industry events.
