Job summary

Reperio Human Capital is partnering with a rapidly growing Southern California company to lead the Odoo ERP financial transformation in Long Beach/Orange County. This 9-12 month contract offers a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent leadership role, with relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

You will guide the accounting organization through the implementation and beyond, ensuring readiness for go-live and long-term finance maturity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership.
• Experience leading accounting teams through ERP implementations.
• Strong GAAP knowledge across GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, reporting.
• Experience with Odoo is highly desirable.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team throughout the Odoo implementation.
• Act as the finance lead and primary accounting SME during the project.
• Translate existing accounting processes into scalable Odoo workflows.
• Oversee chart of accounts design, financial data migration, and opening balances.
• Validate accounting configurations and ensure they align with GAAP and business requirements.
• Lead finance testing, user acceptance testing, and reconciliation activities.
• Develop new accounting processes, controls, and month end procedures.
• Partner closely with executive leadership and the implementation team to drive project success.
• Train and mentor the accounting team while supporting organizational change management.
• Help establish the long term finance organization following go live.

As part of this initiative, they're implementing Odoo ERP and are looking for an experienced finance leader to guide the accounting organization through the implementation and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong accounting leadership with ERP implementation experience. You'll serve as the bridge between the finance team, executive leadership, and the implementation partner, ensuring the accounting function is fully prepared for a successful go live.

Following the implementation, there is a strong expectation that this position will transition into a permanent leadership role within the organization.

Requirements

• US Citizen.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams through an ERP implementation or migration.
• Strong understanding of GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, financial reporting, consolidations, and month end close.
• Experience with Odoo is highly desirable.
• Experience within manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both finance and executive leadership.
