Job summary

Building Blocks Facades, based in Merritt Island, Florida, seeks an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to own day-to-day configuration, user support, and continuous improvement across live and in-progress modules.

You will collaborate with our Odoo Technical Architect, in-house developers, and implementation partner to optimize finance, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing processes on the Odoo 19 platform.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on Odoo functional configuration experience across Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Odoo data model: analytic accounting, BoMs, routings, warehouses, QCPs.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing or project-based business (ETO/construction-adjacent).
• Strong Excel skills; able to build configuration registers, fit-gap logs, and test scripts.
• Clear written communication for documenting decisions and training end users.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support Finance (Accounting, Invoicing, Taxes) within Odoo for project-based manufacturing.
• Maintain chart of accounts, tax configuration, GL mapping; support month-end close and inventory reconciliations.
• Configure procurement workflows: RFQs, three-way match, vendor management, and purchasing policy enforcement.
• Set up warehouses, locations, and routes for per-project and central spares warehouses; support lot/serial traceability.
• Configure project templates and the project-as-job-costing model; support profitability reporting.
• Configure Bills of Materials, routings, and work centers for engineer-to-order facades; support Shop Floor app adoption.

Building Blocks manufactures architectural facade systems in Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) and Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) for commercial, institutional, and high-end residential projects across the U.S.

Building Blocks Facades is a building-facades manufacturer in the Build phase of a single-entity Odoo 19 Enterprise implementation, replacing Precoro, QuickBooks, and Expensify. We're looking for an Odoo Functional Consultant to own day-to-day configuration, user support, and continuous improvement across the live and in-progress modules, working alongside our Odoo Technical Architect, our in-house developer team, and our implementation partner.

This position is based in Merritt Island, Florida and is not a remote role. The selected candidate will be expected to work on-site during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

This role covers functional configuration and support across our full Odoo module footprint:

Finance (Accounting, Invoicing, Taxes)

• Maintain chart of accounts, tax configuration, and GL account mapping for a project-based manufacturing business
• Support analytic accounting: project/job-level analytic plans and cost-category distribution models
• Own the Odoo Expenses rollout - employee reimbursables and company-card expense flows
• Assist with month-end close support and inventory-to-GL reconciliation
• Configure and support purchase requests, RFQs, three-way match, and vendor management workflows
• Maintain procurement approval workflows and purchase agreement configuration
• Support vendor master data governance and purchasing policy enforcement
• Configure warehouses, locations, and routes for a per-project warehouse model plus a central spares warehouse
• Support lot/serial tracking and traceability from raw material through finished goods
• Maintain landed cost configuration and stock valuation accuracy

Quality

• Build and maintain Quality Control Points (QCPs), quality checks, and alerts for receiving inspection and key manufacturing gates
• Support non-conformance tracking and corrective-action workflows

Project

• Configure project templates, stages, and the project-as-job-costing model (analytic account per project)
• Support project profitability reporting (committed vs. actual cost by job and cost category)
• Support the timesheet/analytic labor bridge

Manufacturing (MRP)

• Configure and maintain Bills of Materials, routings, and work centers for an engineer-to-order facades environment
• Support manufacturing order (MO) analytic distribution so material and work-center cost post correctly to the job
• Support the EBOM-to-MBOM structured import process and part-numbering governance
• Support Shop Floor app adoption for production and receiving/QC transactions

Cross-cutting responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for functional support tickets and training across all departments using Odoo
• Work from the standard-first ladder: exhaust standard Odoo functionality and configuration before escalating a request for Studio customization or custom development
• Partner with the Odoo Technical Architect and in-house developers to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Maintain fit-gap logs, configuration guides, and test scripts as the implementation moves from Build into hypercare and ongoing operations
• Support UAT execution and go-live/cutover activities for modules still in Build

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on Odoo functional configuration experience, ideally spanning Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Manufacturing
• Working knowledge of Odoo 19 (or recent Odoo Enterprise versions) data model and configuration - analytic accounting, BoMs/routings, warehouses/routes, QCPs
• Experience supporting a manufacturing or project-based (ETO/construction-adjacent) business
• Strong Excel skills and comfort building configuration registers, fit-gap logs, and test scripts
• Clear written communication for documenting configuration decisions and training end users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Odoo Manufacturing (MRP) in a made-to-order or engineer-to-order environment
• Exposure to Odoo Quality, Project profitability/analytic distribution, or the Shop Floor app
• Experience with a prior Odoo implementation partner handoff or in-house team transition
• Familiarity with integrations such as ADP, Power BI
• Odoo Functional or Techno-Functional certification
