Job Summary

The OD/ID and Surface Grinder is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating both manual and CNC grinding machines. This role is crucial in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring the accuracy and precision of critical components.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate OD/ID and surface grinding machines to grind parts to specified tolerances.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure precision in grinding operations.
3. Inspect and measure parts during the grinding process to ensure adherence to specifications.
4. Monitor and maintain the condition of grinding machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
5. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on grinding equipment as needed.
6. Maintain clean and organized work areas.
7. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and achieve production goals.
8. Ensure that all work is completed according to established safety protocols and quality standards.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong knowledge of grinding machines, tools, and techniques.
