The New England Eye Center (NEEC), the academic ophthalmology department of Tufts Medical Center (TMC) in Boston, MA, invites applications for a full-time, dynamic Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon to join our esteemed faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is a unique opportunity to become part of the Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) and the Tufts Medicine health system, delivering innovative, comprehensive care to patients across Massachusetts and the broader New England region.

About the Opportunity:

This position uniquely combines the prestige and resources of Tufts Medical Center and New England Eye Center with the opportunity to rapidly build a significant functional and aesthetic surgical volume, supported by a strong referral base and clinical operations. The successful candidate will:

Provide expert clinical care within the resource-rich environment of Tufts Medical Center in Boston and extend your reach through practice at strategically located suburban satellite locations, offering diverse patient populations and practice settings.

Engage deeply in academic medicine by teaching and mentoring the next generation of ophthalmology residents and medical students at Tufts University School of Medicine, while your clinical expertise directly informs your educational contributions.

Contribute to the advancement of the field by participating in academic and clinical research, with opportunities to translate clinical observations into research questions and leverage institutional support for scholarly activities.

Become an integral part of a high-volume, well-established oculofacial plastic surgery service, benefiting from a strong existing referral network and operational efficiencies that allow you to quickly build a robust functional and aesthetic practice, akin to a successful private practice but within an academic support structure.

Candidate Qualifications:

Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology

Completion of a 2-year ASOPRS-approved fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery

Eligible for a Massachusetts medical license

Demonstrated drive and enthusiasm for developing a thriving clinical practice

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to medical education

Interest in clinical research
