Job summary

Advancing Sight Network in Charleston, SC is seeking a Recovery Technician to perform aseptic ocular tissue recovery from deceased donors for transplant, research and education while ensuring FDA, EBAA and SOP compliance.

The role involves collaboration with QA, Distribution and Research teams, accurate documentation and safe tissue transport, including on-call shifts and strict attention to safety.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Strong documentation, organizational and assessment skills.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to donor notifications and plan for timely recoveries.
• Confirm consent documentation and Donor Risk Assessment information.
• Perform sterile ocular tissue recovery using approved techniques.
• Draw and qualify blood samples for serological testing.
• Enter donor and recovery data into approved databases.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, EBAA, and SOP standards.
• On-Call Availability for urgent recovery requests.
