Description

Builds, repairs, and prepares articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment. Installs test articles into test structures (test cell, table, rig, etc.) and performs tests according to set test methods.

Performs testing in accordance with established procedures and methodology, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Has an in-depth understanding of the test equipment functions and their contribution to the validity of the test results.

Configures and operates data acquisition systems, analyzes data, and reviews for appropriateness. Understands the functioning of the product under test to assess its impact on test validity.

Performs test stand installation, troubleshooting, setup, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Provides support and recommendations for equipment evaluation, qualification, updates, and specifications.

Conducts performance and reliability testing on engines, components, and systems. Diagnoses problems, initiates resolutions, and documents findings.

Builds, tears down, and inspects rigs, engines, and components. Grades and measures components, and fabricates piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.

Installs engines and instrumentation in test cells and rigs. Uses tools such as Calterm, Asset, Cyflex, etc.

Designs and executes test plans, and prepares reports with findings and recommendations. Works with and trains apprentices and technicians. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Coordinates program planning, scheduling, and tracking. Participates in quality procedures and improvement projects. Develops presentations for customers and suppliers.

Adheres to safety policies and maintains confidentiality. Participates in audits and takes corrective actions as needed.
