As a OCI Network Security Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and solutions, developing, and implementing security standards and best practices, and providing technical guidance to other security architects and engineers.

This is a remote position and can be performed anywhere within the United States.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Develop and implement security measures for cloud-based solutions that meet Government requirements to include maintaining documentation related to cloud security solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other security architects and engineers.
  • Develop and implement security standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure and solutions in AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP cloud platforms hosted in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Evaluate new cloud security technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions through relationships with CSPs and vendors.
  • Serve as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives to ensure consistent and sufficient identification and implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls in concert with the agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security guidelines.
  • Understand the following standards : DISA STIG and NIST SP 800-53.

What you’ll need :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 5 years of experience in OCI.
  • Experience with public cloud providers (certificate preferred) such as AWS and Azure in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions operating within the Government, including DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).
  • Experience with cloud security technologies such as identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret / Top Secret security clearance.

What’s nice to have :

  • CISP, CISA, CISSP Certification.

Salary for roles at Tharseo IT varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set and level of experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $104,371.00 to $152,047.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Tharseo IT’s total compensation package for employees.
