Job summary
Everforth ECS seeks an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability Engineer to design, implement, and automate cloud-native observability across Gov Cloud environments. The role emphasizes end-to-end visibility, disaster recovery health, and security posture monitoring while supporting DHS authorizations to operate.
The candidate will lead IaC automation using Python, OCI SDK, Terraform, and OCI Resource Manager, with cross-region resilience and integration into Splunk or Dynatrace
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain the required public trust suitability.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Observability architecture: build and administer the enterprise monitoring fabric with OCI Monitoring (MQL) and Logging Analytics.
- APM: deploy tracing & synthetic end-user journeys across cloud-native apps.
- Cross-region resilience: maintain redundant monitoring across Ashburn and Phoenix.
- Disaster recovery health: monitor replication lag and failover metrics.
- Security posture: guardrails with CloudGuard and IAM policy auditing.
- Automate with IaC: Python, Terraform, OCI Resource Manager scripts.
- Incident response: Tier-3 triage, RCA, and runbooks.
- FedRAMP/NIST compliance: continuous monitoring reporting and audit logs.
