Job summary

LightFeather is seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the U.S. Department of State in modernizing and securing mission-critical cloud environments. You will design, implement, and optimize OCI solutions with strong focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Cloud Engineer, including 2+ years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage OCI services including compute, networking, storage, and database solutions.
• Configure and maintain VCNs, subnets, gateways, and load balancers for mission-critical apps.
• Implement cloud security best practices aligned with federal standards (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Develop and maintain IaC scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Monitor performance, optimize costs, and ensure high availability across OCI environments.
• Troubleshoot OCI issues and provide escalation support as needed.
• Collaborate with security, development, and operations on migrations and modernization.
• Maintain documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.
