Job summary

Environment America is seeking an Oceans Associate to advance campaigns protecting oceans and wildlife from threats like drilling and mining. You will work across coalitions, organize events, recruit volunteers, and help media outreach to build broad support for ocean conservation.

The role emphasizes leadership, writing, public speaking, and the ability to manage multi-faceted campaigns with discretion and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Work with coalitions to coordinate and build support for our campaigns.
• Organize events and recruit volunteers.

• Lobby decision-makers in Congress and state/federal agencies.
• Win hearts and minds through events and community projects.
• Recruit new people to your team of volunteers, interns, and staff.
• Run a campaign office for the summer with fundraising goals.
