Ocean Import Specialist in Torrance, CA for DHL Global Forwarding (Deutsche Post) requires strong communication and customer service skills to ensure accurate and timely movement of freight. The role is based at Torrance, CA and involves coordinating shipments, documents, and expertise in ocean imports.

Responsibilities include confirming shipment details, reviewing fees and SOPs, tracking status, and liaising between processing agents and customers.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years Ocean Imports experience in freight forwarding or International Supply Chain.
• Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents.
• Knowledge of Incoterms a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Exceptional customer service and follow up skills.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• CargoWise systems knowledge is a plus.
• Hazmat certification is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required.

We have an exciting opportunity for an OCEAN IMPORT SPECIALIST with excellent communication and customer service skills. Accuracy and timely movement of freight and information is a key component for this position. This position will be based at our Torrance, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:

Pay Range:

$19.03 - $25.38/hr. (Based on Experience)
