Job Overview

The Ocean Import or Export Coordinator handles import/export files, ensures compliance, prepares quotes, and provides excellent customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Handle daily import/export shipments.
  2. Pre-alert agents and shippers; organize and prepare documentation.
  3. Follow up with steamship lines; maintain daily shipment reports.
  4. Ensure receipt of all required documents; send final documents as needed.
  5. File relevant documentation for shipments.
  6. Arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and container loading.
  7. Update customers and track cargo from origin to destination.
  8. Set up billing and payables.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
