Job description

About MHRS

Mental Health Recovery Specialists (MHRS) provides comprehensive outpatient care that is compatible with your everyday life. With services that range from psychotherapy to recovery support to skills coaching and more, our goal is to address the whole picture of a client's mental health needs, under one roof.

We believe that personally tailored treatment is the most effective. Rather than offer a one-size-fits-all approach, we help our clients select the services that best suit their needs – and schedule. Our goal is to build each client a plan that integrates seamlessly into their day-to-day, so they can move forward with their mental health goals, without having to put life on hold.
About the Role
Mental Health Recovery Specialists (MHRS) is seeking a part-time (fee-for-service) OCD therapist to provide Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) – the highest standard in OCD treatment – to our clients with OCD. The position entails providing a combination of ERP, CBT, other therapeutic exposures, recovery skills-building, and documentation. The position also entails working with individuals who have commonly co-occurring mental health conditions. The schedule is flexible (a combination of days, evenings, and one weekend day) and is ideal for someone building a private practice or working an additional up to 10-20+ hours a week.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide clients with OCD diagnoses, assessments, and evidence-based psychotherapy (ERP, CBT)
  • Provide in-person and virtual psychotherapy (ERP, CBT, etc), recovery coaching, and/or other therapeutic support services
  • Proper documentation of all services rendered in a timely manner
  • Communicate with clients’ Care Coordinators and other Recovery Specialists as needed
  • Continually assess clients’ progress and level of care, update treatment plans, and complete transition/discharge plans when indicated.
  • Communicate with clients’ family/supports as indicated
  • Complete weekly tracking sheet at the end of each week to communicate availability.
We're looking for someone who:
  • Holds a Master's degree in a mental health field and is a licensed therapist in NY and willing to obtain licensure in other states as needed.
  • Can commit to in-person sessions if needed and a minimum of two weeknight shifts (4-8p).
  • Has a 1-3 years of experience.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building strong client relationships.
  • Is a lifelong learner, eager to expand their expertise.
