About the Role
Mental Health Recovery Specialists (MHRS) is seeking a part-time (fee-for-service) OCD therapist to provide Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) – the highest standard in OCD treatment – to our clients with OCD. The position entails providing a combination of ERP, CBT, other therapeutic exposures, recovery skills-building, and documentation. The position also entails working with individuals who have commonly co-occurring mental health conditions. The schedule is flexible (a combination of days, evenings, and one weekend day) and is ideal for someone building a private practice or working an additional up to 10-20+ hours a week.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clients with OCD diagnoses, assessments, and evidence-based psychotherapy (ERP, CBT)
- Provide in-person and virtual psychotherapy (ERP, CBT, etc), recovery coaching, and/or other therapeutic support services
- Proper documentation of all services rendered in a timely manner
- Communicate with clients’ Care Coordinators and other Recovery Specialists as needed
- Continually assess clients’ progress and level of care, update treatment plans, and complete transition/discharge plans when indicated.
- Communicate with clients’ family/supports as indicated
- Complete weekly tracking sheet at the end of each week to communicate availability.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Master's degree in a mental health field and is a licensed therapist in NY and willing to obtain licensure in other states as needed.
- Can commit to in-person sessions if needed and a minimum of two weeknight shifts (4-8p).
- Has a 1-3 years of experience.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building strong client relationships.
- Is a lifelong learner, eager to expand their expertise.
