Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitative care. The ideal candidate assists with treatment plans, supports patient recovery, and ensures safe and effective therapy procedures. This role requires knowledge of therapeutic techniques, excellent communication skills, and compliance with licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans.
  2. Guide patients through exercises and activities.
  3. Observe and document patient progress.
  4. Educate patients and families on home exercises.
  5. Maintain patient records and communicate with the supervising therapist.
  6. Ensure equipment safety and cleanliness.
  7. Support mobility and functional training.
  8. Follow infection control and safety regulations.
  9. Collaborate with healthcare team for continuous care.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Licensure & Certification
