Occupational Therapy Assistant - Rehab Services - PRN

Join our team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Rehab Services - PRN at Lifepoint Health.

Job Overview

Execute treatment plans for patients under the supervision of an occupational therapist in outpatient rehab clinics or hospitals. Monitor patient progress, encourage recovery, and help improve their quality of life by teaching skills and techniques to patients, families, and caregivers.

Responsibilities
  1. Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  2. Encourage and motivate patients during recovery.
  3. Assist patients in becoming more independent.
  4. Update patient records for occupational therapists.
  5. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on skills and techniques to meet patient goals.
  6. Maintain the cleanliness and order of the office, treatment rooms, and equipment.
Minimum Education & Certifications
  • Graduate of an approved occupational therapy assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
  • Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Assistant Association.
Licenses & Requirements
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Aide.
  • Must hold or obtain licensure in North Carolina.
