The Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant assists the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident related activities and direct resident care.

This role requires an Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program and proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care. The position involves accurate documentation, infection control, and collaboration with the care team for progress and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills and clinical documentation systems such as Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising OT for progress and discharge planning.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
