Job Details

Position: Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: Longview Healthcare Center

We are seeking an OTA to join our in-house team of professionals providing person-centered care to our residents. This role involves planning and administering treatments to improve residents' function and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and administer treatment to residents with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, following physician orders.
  • Respond to service requests by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Ensure all treatments are delivered according to the established care plan.
  • Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments.
  • Complete documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in SNF/Long-term care preferred.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices.
  • Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
  • Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.
Requirements
  • Active/Valid Texas license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
  • Good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
