Job summary

Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Palestine is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve independence and improve quality of life.

The role requires an active Texas OTA license and COTA credential, with SNF or long-term care experience preferred. Familiarity with Net Health EHR is a plus, and strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT per physician orders.
• Respond to requests for service and coordinate with the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the care plan.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor responses and report changes to the OT.
• Complete required documentation per policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
