Job summary

Ganado-Nursing-and-Rehabilitation-Center is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include planning and administering OT treatments, under OT supervision, with thorough documentation and adherence to the plan of care. SNF experience and knowledge of OT practices are preferred. We welcome new graduates to apply.

Qualifications

• Texas OTA license active and in good standing.
• COTA credential required.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under the supervision of an OT.
• Relay information and referrals to the OT when needed.
• Deliver treatments as per the plan of care and document thoroughly.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response and report changes to the OT
• Complete required documentation in line with policy and regulations
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
