Buena Vida Odessa seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve independence and quality of life under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Requirements include an active Texas OTA license, COTA credential, and prior SNF/long-term care experience. Familiarity with Net Health documentation is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with licensing boards
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
• Experience with Net Health documentation preferred

Responsabilités

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT
• Relay service requests to the OT and coordinate referrals
• Deliver treatments per the plan of care
• Offer clinical support and instruction to patients and families
• Monitor patient response and report changes
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in line with policy and regulations
• Attend required rehab department meetings

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
