Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. The OTA will deliver person-centered care to residents, helping them improve independence and quality of life under supervision of an OT.

Applicants should hold a Texas OTA license and a COTA credential, with SNF or long-term care experience preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success in this flexible role.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices and regulatory standards.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an OT per physician orders.
• Coordinate with the OT and care team to ensure care plan adherence.
• Document all treatments and maintain timely records per policy and regulations.
• Support patients, families, and caregivers with therapy instructions and education.
• Monitor patient response and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Attend meetings as designated by Rehab leadership.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
