The Department of Rehab Medicine seeks a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our inpatient academic hospital setting. Be a part of a large rehab team in a leading healthcare facility and assist patients in developing, improving, and recovering the necessary skills needed to perform their daily activities after surgery, illness, or injury. Serving the admitted patients of the hospital, our inpatient rehab team covers pediatrics to geriatrics and supports numerous service lines.
Our ideal candidate has a strong desire to help patients in a hospital setting and work collaboratively within a team. They are dependable, have good bedside manner, and have strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. They desire to continue learning and engage in the professional development opportunities (participate in-services, student fieldwork/observation program, and quality improvement projects as assigned) afforded by our academic medical center. This position requires the physical strength to assist patients with completing ADLs and functional mobility.
This is a full-time, benefited position working 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays. We offer shift differentials for weekend shifts at 15%, and holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day) at one-half base pay in addition to regular pay.
