Evolve Therapy Services in Montgomery, AL is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility on a PRN basis. The OTA will help plan, organize, and direct therapy services to residents in compliance with current standards and facility directives.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy and active OTA licensure in the practice states, plus ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification, with opportunities for

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct occupational therapy services.
• Screen residents to determine best intervention per scope of practice.
• Perform treatment plans following established goals with supervising therapist.
• Communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to residents and care team.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with team cooperation.
• Deliver therapy per plan and document/bill services accurately.
• Adhere to CMS documentation standards daily.

Job Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: PRN

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
