Job Details
  • Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Type: PRN positions available
Job Purpose

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator, to ensure the highest quality of resident care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment based on scope of practice.
  • Perform treatment plans for residents; follow short and long-term goals based on the established plan of care by supervising therapists.
  • Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.
  • Conduct therapy according to established treatment plans and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required for effective patient treatment.
  • Comply with all CMS documentation standards daily with point-of-care documentation as indicated.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active OTA licensure in the state(s) of practice
