Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Port Arthur, TX, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide therapy services under supervision. Responsibilities include delivering therapy planned by licensed therapists and working on patients’ functional mobility and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapist assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active, state license as an occupational therapist assistant.
• One year of experience as an occupational therapist assistant, preferred.
• Proof of current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides services that are ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care.
• Facilitates patients’ ROM, strength, and functional mobility as related to patients’ ADL performance.
• Applies infection control and standard precautions in coordinating patient care activities.
