Requirements:
  • Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant State license.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to identify their physical and functional limitations.
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient.
  • Carry out interventions and activities to enhance patients' motor skills, mobility, and daily independence.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to enhance their functional abilities.
  • Keep precise and up-to-date patient records, noting progress, treatments, and condition changes.
  • Offer patients and families guidance and training for at-home exercises to aid their ongoing recovery.
  • Keep in touch with the Occupational Therapist and the healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe therapy environment for patients.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.
