Job summary

El Paso Community College is seeking a tenure‑track Occupational Therapy Assistant faculty member to deliver on‑campus instruction aligned with the college’s mission. You will develop curricula, submit syllabi by week 1, advise students, and participate in committees while advancing student success and program excellence.

You will teach across disciplines, collaborate with colleagues, utilize technology in the classroom, and may teach at multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience teaching in the discipline.
• Experience/ability to teach at the community college level.
• Experience/ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.
• Commitment to student success and program excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College.
• Adhere to approved course syllabi and inform students of course requirements by the end of the first week of classes.
• Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials; submit syllabi by the end of the first week of class.
• Post and maintain office hours; serve as academic advisor and provide leadership in student activities.
• Participate in divisional and departmental responsibilities; participate on committees; work with faculty to accomplish goals of the discipline, division, and College.
• Assist in evaluation and selection of faculty and program staff; contribute to governance; participate in faculty orientation and development.
• Assist in planning and implementation of ongoing activities such as registration, class scheduling, recruitment, accreditation preparation, budgets, and related instructional matters.
• Based on college needs, you may teach at multiple campuses; tenure track position with potential Lecturer options.
