Job summary

SGMC Health seeks an Occupational Therapist/OT Assistant for the Acute Rehab department on site at the Main Campus. You will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting and document care while coordinating plans of care with physicians and other disciplines.

Responsibilities include contributing to program development, quality improvement, and achieving productivity targets. Must be licensed in Georgia with an AOTA-approved degree and be prepared to work a full-time day

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA approved associate degree program (or foreign equivalent).
• Hold an applicable and current license in the state of Georgia.
• Experience with adult and geriatric populations with physical disabilities is desired.
• Ability to work well individually, as a team member, and as a team leader.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to new situations, manage priorities and utilize problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, standards, and think critically.
• Strong clinical skills providing therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Documents care provided and coordinates patient's plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Demonstrates accountability for program development, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement.
• Maintains alignment with the hospital's mission, vision, values, and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
