Mariner Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support licensed therapists in implementing patient treatment plans for residents. The OTA conducts screenings, assists with rehabilitative activities, monitors progress, and helps with scheduling and paperwork under state and federal regulations.

The position emphasizes training residents, caregivers, and families, ensures accurate documentation, and requires adherence to privacy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from a AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed OTA if required by state law.

Responsabilités

• Conduits resident screens as allowed by state practice act.
• Helps residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan.
• Monitors residents' activities to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement.
• Records residents' progress for use by the occupational therapist.
• May assist in scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, restocking or ordering supplies, and filling out insurance forms or other paperwork.
• Provides training to residents, caregivers and families according to the resident’s care plan.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
• Participates in privacy/training to safeguard residents’ protected health information.
