An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their team. In this full-time role, you will provide essential therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring they receive care with respect and dignity. You will work closely under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs. Your contributions will help motivate patients to engage in their treatment plans, while you document their progress accurately. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program or currently be enrolled.
Provide therapy to patients in a SNF setting under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, using a variety of therapeutic techniques. Treat patients with respect, dignity, and privacy, and motivate them to participate in therapy treatment, while adhering to the plan of treatment established by the Occupational Therapist. Use creative therapy interventions specific to the patients’ interests and needs to obtain positive patient outcomes and progress. Participate as an interdisciplinary team member to determine potential patient needs, plans of care, and functional maintenance programs. Accurately complete documentation of patient progress within the designated time period. Document clearly to show the medical necessity of the patient care to justify the plan of treatment. Demonstrate the ability to utilize the computer system effectively, adhering to company policy.
