Job summary

Mountainside Nursing Home in Mountainside, NJ, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Rehabilitation Department. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans that improve daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function for residents.

This role offers a flexible per diem schedule with weekend shifts and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
• Current New Jersey OTA certification.
• Minimum 1 year OTA experience; long-term care experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and interventions to promote patient progress.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist.
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment sessions and progress.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
