Job summary

Watertown Health Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Aide to assist in treating residents who need help achieving independence. You will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support resident care.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional appearance, dependability, and adherence to facility policies. Training and a supportive work environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information.
• Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders and follow directions of the occupational therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents attain the highest level of function possible.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulatory agencies and payers.
• Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' function.
• Observe infection control procedures and safety policies.
