Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed therapists. The role covers geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric and neonatal rehab, including splint follow-ups and other medical conditions.

You will work under minimal supervision and may mentor staff on technical skills, while helping to maintain schedules and ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED is required.
• Associate/Technical degree in OT or equivalent required.
• Two years of rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education preferred.
• Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans and selects modalities to meet goals.
• Transports and assists patients safely in wheelchairs, beds and stretchers.
• Assists with inpatient and outpatient schedules as needed.
• Maintains equipment and supplies, and keeps the environment clean.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent
