Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Rochester, New York. The role supports residents under the supervision of an OT and collaborates with a caring rehab team in a state-of-the-art environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA Program.
• Current New York State OTA License.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities following the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities and document as needed.
• Teach residents how to use equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
