POSITION SUMMARY:
Staff Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is responsible for providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist in accordance with the patients’ plan of care. The certified occupational therapy assistant will screen patients, educate patients and families, utilize exercises including administering occupational therapy modalities, treatment, and rehabilitative procedures for individuals limited by physical injury or illness, a dysfunctional condition, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, a developmental or learning disability whether due to trauma, illness, or condition present at birth. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions.
