Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, New York. The OTA/COTA will provide therapy under supervision in a state-of-the-art rehab gym, delivering quality rehabilitation services to residents.

This role welcomes new grads and offers mentorship, flexible schedules, and opportunities for growth. Evening and weekend hours are available to accommodate residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current New York State OTA license.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities following the plan of care.
• Assist residents in daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy and document as needed.
• Teach residents how to use equipment for daily function.
• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team.

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:
