Preferred Therapy Solutions in Albany, NY is seeking a Part-Time (25 hours) Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for our sub-acute and skilled nursing rehab department. You will join a busy geriatric facility with private rooms and a dynamic rehab team of therapists in a fast-paced setting.

You must be a graduate of a 2-year COTA program with NY license eligibility, upbeat, team-oriented, and able to multitask.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year accredited COTA program and NY license.
• SNF/sub-acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive therapy services in a sub-acute/SNF setting.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team (PT/OT/SLP).
• Maintain timely and accurate treatment documentation.

We have a wonderful dementia unit including sensory room, movie theatres, and libraries. Our facility has many spaces throughout the building to work in for therapy in addition to our brand new gym. We have a great rehab team including physical, occupational, and speech therapists that work well together and looking for someone to join our team! You must be upbeat, a team player, multi-tasker willing to work in a fast paced environment. Therapists will perform treatments, patient & family education, caregiver training while working with a diverse and friendly multi-disciplinary team. Requirements

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting
• Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment
• Possess a current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation
• Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
• Work well with others in a team setting.
