Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation, part of Genesis HealthCare, is seeking PRN Occupational Therapy Assistants in the New Castle, PA area. In this role, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities within facility settings and report to the Director of Rehab.

The position offers opportunities to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life. The ideal candidate will have an accredited OTA program graduate, NBCOT certification, and licensure or eligibility in the state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program per AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial NBCOT certification.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities per recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments and progress patients toward functional goals.
• Collaborate with rehab team and communicate patient status.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards

Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
