Job summary

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team in Merrick, NY. You will implement occupational therapy programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver therapies that restore independence and function, working closely with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program per AOTA/ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification from NBCOT.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of use.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with peers and refer patients as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain a compassionate, patient- and family-centered approach.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards

Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You're a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work. You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
