Job summary

PruittHealth in Brevard, NC is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) full-time to join our therapy services team. The COTA will assist in implementing the care plan for residents, document care accurately, and adhere to state practice acts.

The role offers a sign-on bonus of $8,000 and opportunities for growth. Required qualifications include an ACOTE-accredited degree and NBCOT exam eligibility or completion, plus an active license in the state.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional in the state of practice.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited program; NBCOT exam eligibility or pass.
• Active licensure is required to practice as a COTA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the occupational therapy care plan as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks and document them accurately and timely.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exam. If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
