Job summary

FOX Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Albuquerque team, delivering one-on-one, in-home and senior living care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, and support functional improvements in the FOX Geriatric House Calls model delivered where patients live.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, and fitness

Qualifications

• Valid OTA license in state(s) of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized treatment plans established by supervising OT, adjust activities based on patient progress.
• Instruct, motivate, and safeguard patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, tracking progress.
• Document visits accurately in FOX’s EMR system per Clinical Documentation standards.
• Stay connected with patients, POAs, and referral sources; help coordinate coverage as needed.

This position is primarily based in one of our senior living community partners.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Physical Requirements

• Exerting medium physical effort: lifting 25–50 lbs occasionally, 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly
• Performing CPR
• Providing moderate to maximum assistance with patient transfers and bed mobility, including repositioning a bed‑bound patient alone
• Standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and extensive walking
• Performing repetitive movements of the upper extremities
• Driving to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls model
• Wearing PPE when required
