Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Summary:

Provide Occupational Therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients, and adhering to all regulations and guidelines. Deliver quality patient care, supervise Rehab Techs where required, and manage cases effectively. Maintain professional conduct and represent Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service in all interactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in optimizing patients' functional abilities under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Develop and maintain a strong occupational therapy assistant program
• Enhance clinical and management skills through interaction, self-study, and continuing education
• Maintain valid state license and stay informed about professional and healthcare environment issues
• Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and delivery models to provide quality and compliant care
• Follow infection control and safety protocols within facilities
• Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking instructions, charts, and reports
