Job summary

Adoration Health in Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist in implementing treatment plans and administering therapeutic exercises to improve strength, mobility, and function. You’ll train individuals, document progress, and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to adjust plans as needed.

The role requires an OTA credential, CPR certification, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.
• Current Live CPR Certification.
• Two-step TB skin test required.
• Proof of Auto Insurance.
• Knowledge of evidence based therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health.
• One year preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times.
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
