Computer Skills:

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Summary: Provide occupational therapy and related services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Deliver quality patient care, including ongoing treatment per care plans, supervision of Rehab Techs (if required), and case management. Maintain professional conduct reflecting Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service, adhering to all relevant regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in optimizing the functional abilities of patients under the supervision of a licensed OT.
  • Develop and strengthen the occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Enhance clinical, professional, and managerial skills through interactions and continuing education.
  • Maintain valid state licensure and stay informed on issues affecting occupational therapy and healthcare.
  • Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and appropriate delivery methods to provide quality care within guidelines.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols within facilities.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for clinical and administrative communication.
