Job Description
Occupational Therapy Assistant position in Parsippany Troy Hills, NJ. The OTA is responsible for managing resident rehabilitation care, overseeing treatment plans, maintaining clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with center, state, federal and accrediting standards, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members, and assisting with marketing, training and other center-directed processes. Salary range is $30-$45 per hour with full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide and direct resident rehabilitation care within accepted practice methods, meeting all standards.
- Evaluate resident needs and establish effective, efficient treatment plans for assigned residents.
- Manage and coordinate the supervision of treatment plans with staff and other disciplines.
- Participate in screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
- Provide feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
- Participate in all center-directed processes and services.
- Show effective management of treatment and non‑treatment related activities.
- Perform necessary clinical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely billing records.
- Assist with marketing efforts as directed.
- Participate in in‑service training programs as requested.
- May travel to other facilities to provide services.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of operations.
- Preferred experience in older adult rehabilitation.
- Preferred knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
