Job summary

Blue Stone Therapy is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Muskego, WI to support a new Milwaukee-area skilled nursing partnership.

You will provide skilled occupational therapy under an OT, implement individualized plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and strong patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Wisconsin OT A license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Strong communication and patient education abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve independence with daily activities, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and safety.
  • Help patients develop or regain skills needed to participate as independently as possible in everyday activities.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive strategies, equipment, and techniques to support independence and safety.
  • Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Contribute to the development and success of a new therapy program through teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care.

What You’ll Do

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin
