What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve independence with daily activities, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and safety
- Help patients develop or regain skills needed to participate as independently as possible in everyday activities
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive strategies, equipment, and techniques to support independence and safety
- Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Contribute to the development and success of a new therapy program through teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin

- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and meaningful functional outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team
- Positive attitude and desire to help build a new therapy team
- Skilled nursing, post-acute, or geriatric experience is helpful but not required
