Job summary

Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our compassionate rehab team. You will screen residents, provide therapy per the plan of care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary staff to support optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assisting program.

• Passionate about post-acute rehabilitation and the older adult population.
• Ability to relate and interact positively with residents, family, staff.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents and apply tests, implementing precautions from the plan of care.
• Provide treatment per the plan of care with residents and caregivers.
• Complete documentation for services.
• Supervise temporary licensees, students, and support staff.
• Attend resident care conferences and related meetings.
• Consult with other disciplines, agencies, and providers to address residents' needs.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT

Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to our residents. Responsibilities:

• Screen residents as appropriate by practice acts, including history, systems review, applications of appropriate tests and measures, and implement precautions from the plan of care.

• Provide treatment to residents following the plan of care, working towards the treatment goal in collaboration with the resident and caregivers.

• Complete all related documentation required for those services.

• Supervise temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.

• Attend and contribute to resident care, staff conferences, and other related meetings.

• Consult with and make referrals to other disciplines, agencies, and healthcare providers to address the comprehensive needs of our residents.
