Job summary

Angels Care Home Health in Gahanna, OH is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will deliver OT services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist and support home health patients in their daily activities.

Responsibilities include implementing selected interventions, gathering data, and adjusting plans to progress progress while ensuring safety and comfort. A state license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited COTA program.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Current unrestricted COTA license, registration or certification (state specific).
• Experience as required by current practicing State Board to treat patients in their homes.
• Therapy skills aligned with generally accepted standards of practice according to the AOTA.
• Strong interpersonal communication with patients, families, supervising occupational therapists, peer disciplines, and referral sources.
• Knowledge of durable medical equipment appropriate for patients with occupational therapy needs.
• Reliable Transportation with valid and current auto liability insurance.

Job Summary

Individual who provides occupational therapy services under the supervision and direction of the licensed occupational therapist. COTAs implement selected components of patient interventions/treatments, obtain data related to interventions provided and make modifications in selected interventions to either progress a patient as directed by the occupational therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
